Halloween Shenanigans

This year for the kids' costumes, I sent the kids to the store with Daddy and told them to pick out whatever they wanted. It was too much work for me to have them coordinate this year. They LOVED picking out their own and they all looked cute! Reagan was Rochelle from Monster High, Bryson was Star Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy and Carson was Captain America :) Peyton was our little Jill-O-Lantern and looked mighty darn cute! It was so fun to have all the Grandma Jo, Papa Lars, Grandma Shauna and Grandpa ABC in town for Halloween!

Bryson, Carson, Peyton and I went to a little Farm nearby with some friends and the boys had a blast! They love going places where they have friends to play with. It was a great day to be outside!

Bryson had a Halloween Preschool party that we got to go to. They did a hayride, decorated cookies, trick or treated and everyone got awards for their awesome costumes. Grandma Shauna and Grandpa Bryant came with us too :)

Carson LOVED feeding the buffalo.

Grandma and Grandpa held Peyton while I took the boys on the hayride.

Reagan's school had a Halloween Parade and she wanted everyone to come to that. It was fun to see all the different costumes. Carson's favorite was Elsa and he pointed out every single one!

We didn't carve our pumpkin until the day of Halloween because it would have rotted before Halloween even came. It was about 80 degrees during the day.

And of course, our Ward Halloween Party! We always have such a good time at this! I decided to make White Chicken Chili for the chili cook-off so I knew there would be something there that I liked :) but by the time we got up there, there was only enough for about 2 bowls! Maybe I'll bring 2 crockpots full next year...

Oh yeah, can't forget about Trick-or-Treating!

Party Time

We had a combined party for Reagan and Bryson again this year. They don't mind it and it makes it a lot easier for me :) and with a 2 week old, I didn't feel like planning 2 parties. This year we kind of did a Halloween themed party. It was different and the kids really enjoyed it! We had a pumpkin piƱata, decorated cookies, played at the park and had push ups instead of cake. Kids had a great party and Bryson keeps asking when his next party is HAHA! Thanks to everyone who came!

A few interesting things about Bryson:
*weighs 49.6 lbs (92%ile)
*46.25 in tall(96%ile)
*favorite color is black
*Ninja Turtles and Transformers are his favorites right now
*finally growing out of his shell
*sleeps with light on and door open
*loves Preschool
*has to dress himself. will not wear anything Daddy or myself pick out. Sometimes he may wear the same outfit for 3 days.
*has been counting down till his birthday for a couple weeks

We had a little family birthday party for him and he was able to open a few gifts and have cupcakes with ice cream. We also made enough cupcakes so he could take them to preschool tomorrow.

Brian had to light the candle about 4 times while we sang happy birthday. lol Bryson and Carson kept blowing it out.

Grandma Jo took him out for donuts this morning. And of course brought donuts home for everyone else.

He wanted to send some pictures of his new toys to his cousin Nash. A few of his Transformers.

Legos! He is really into building legos. This set is a motorcycle and helicopter from GG.

Going home!

We are so excited to have Peyton home with us! And I was so excited to not have to spend another night in the hospital bed :) I am sure Brian was happy to sleep in an actual bed and for it to be longer than he was. Not only was this my shortest labor and delivery, it was also my shortest time in the hospital. We needed up staying about 36 hours.

The nurses tested her jaundice levels early this morning as part of the newborn screen and they came back immediately high. They said they would test them around lunch and if they were worse we would have to stay another night and Peyton would spend a few hours under the lights. Not something I wanted to hear. They came back and tested her but we didn't get to hear the results for a few hours so I was a little nervous. Her number was higher but she was on the exact same place on the graph so they let us go home! We have to take her to the doctor tomorrow to get her levels checked again and hope they aren't worse or we will have to get her under the lights for awhile.

Just a few pictures from today at hospital :)
I am amazed at how long her hair is!

View at the end of my bad :)
