Christmas

It is hard to believe that Christmas has come and gone already! And before we know it, it will be 2013! We had a great Christmas. Spent the day with family and enjoyed the gifts we received!

On Christmas Eve, the kids opened their one gift and we're so excited to see their new PJ's!

Reagan is in love with Jessie and Bulls-eye!

And Bryson's favorite is Woody!!

Santa Came!

Bryson LOVES tools! Santa got him the perfect gift:)

Gifts from PawPaw and Granny. Thanks!

Gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Christensen. Thanks!

We did gifts at my moms house but I can't seem to find any of those pictures. Hmm. But thanks to GG and Grandma Jo& Papa Lars for all the gifts, too!!!

Festivities

Just a few things we did to get in the Christmas spirit!

We went to the Temple to see all their Christmas Lights.

We made a Gingerbread house and Reagan made another gingerbread house at preschool.

And we went to see the Loop of Lights. It's just down the road in a neighborhood and you drive through about 3 streets of many houses all decorated and then at the very end is a house with more than 150,000 lights. It's amazing!

Dance Recital

Reagan started taking Ballet back in September and she absolutely loves it! She is the oldest in her class and every time I pick her up her teacher always tells me how wonderful she's doing and how much she loves helping the younger girls. She had her first Dance Recital and she did so good! It was so fun to see her up there dancing because she would never show us her dance moves, she always said it was a secret. She will have another Recital around May and we can't wait to see her dance again!

love her and this picture!

aw:)

she was so serious through out all her dances!

Twinkle Toes

This year we decided to start a new family Christmas Tradition with an Elf on the Shelf. He first came to our family on December 1st and the kids love him! Reagan decided to name him Twinkle Toes, no idea where that came from! Every morning Bryson wakes up and is so excited to see where Twinkle Toes is hiding. I have to say, it's hard to remember to move him every night and to come up with new places to hid him. Here's a few pictures of some of the places we've found him:

TP'd our tree

made himself a little chair out of the kids blocks

dyed our milk green!

hoping to find some candy in Reagan's stocking

brought the kids a candy cane garden

Quality Cousin Time

Awhile back, my cousin Bret and his family came down for a few days and the kids had a blast playing with each other. We got to go swimming, play at GGs and our house and go out to eat. We sure enjoyed having them around and look forward to the next time we get to see them!

We have also really enjoyed having my brother Jake's family out here for the past several months. It's always interesting to see what the kids will get into next. They are in the process of moving to Italy so we are going to miss them a lot!!

Halloween

This years Halloween festivities started out with our ward Trunk or Treat. It was at our church building. We had a chili cook off and hot dogs for the kids. Inside the gym were games for the kids to play. I think the kids just enjoyed running around outside all night. The night ended with a Trunk or Treat outside. The kids definitely got a lot of candy! And of course, they went to some cars more than once:)

Enjoying their cupcakes from the cup wake walk

Bryson and Nash enjoying their candy. I just love Nash's face!

Reagan and Brentlee handing out candy

Bryson was ready to dive into his stash! Can you see how dirty his feet are?! This boy would not leave shoes on!

I have always told myself we will either decorate or carve pumpkins with the kids each year. This year was cutting it close, I didn't get a pumpkin until the night before Halloween. I think the kids enjoyed it! Well except for the stuff on the inside:) The kids also got to carve pumpkins with Grandma Jo and Papa Lars while I went to the doctor. They made a scary face pumpkin and a polka dot pumpkin.

Daddy got the privilege of taking out all the guts:)

Papa drilling the polka dot pumpkin. Bryson enjoyed watching from a distance.

Proud of their pumpkins!

And now for Trick or Treating! We headed to my moms house 1st and then headed to GGs. Brian went along for moms and GGs. Once we got home, Brian was on pass out duty:) We both feel like, if you can send your kids out trick or treating then someone should be at home passing out candy. I took the kids out with my friend Kelli and family. Our other friend Ellesse, met up with us after they finished dinner. It was a late night but the kids were excited about all their candy!:)
