In Fairbanks there are 2 major tourist attractions, The Riverboat Discovery and El Dorado Gold Mine. I had never been on either of these until last year when Brian got free tickets for the Riverboat. It was fun and now I can say I've done it! On Wednesday, Reagan and I did El Dorado Gold Mine with Rebecca(Brian's sister), and her kids, Ben and Ming Lu. We had great weather and found lots of gold! We rode the train into the gold mining town and on our way we stopped in a Permafrost tunnel and they told us all about the mining operation. Reagan had a great time on the train! The highlight of the trip is always gold panning and cookies at the end. Gold panning is definitely a lot harder than it looks! Reagan and I came home with quite a bit of gold. And the cookies are made fresh and very yummy!!

We love that tour! And it's cookies too. Glad you got to go with the cutest little gold-panning, train-riding, cookie-eating partner EVER! I think I need to be in nursery just so I can watch her the whole time!
